FSFACC's Board of Directors

Jessica Aguirre (Honorary Vice President) is the anchor of NBC11 News at 5 p.m., a caregiver to bunnies and formerly a volunteer in ACC's small animals department.

Darian Swig (Honorary Vice President) is an eminent Bay Area philanthropist, protocol consultant, community activist and fundraiser who has generously supported FSFACC.

Courtney Gunter, owner of The Whole Pet, a dog-training and canine behavior modification service, is a professional dog trainer and pet sitter and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and of Pet Sitters International (PSI). She also works with Big Dog Rescue in Sonoma County.

Elissa Kartman (Treasurer) is employed at a private, upscale East Bay company and has a background in health care, broadcasting and animal welfare.

Beverly Kingsbury has devoted her life to dog training and behavior evaluation after 20 years running software sales organizations and as the sales and marketing consultant of the Pacifica Rotary Club. Bev heads the dog evaluation, behavior and training company, Pawsitive Thinking.

Mark Klaiman is co-owner of Pet Camp the largest pet day care and boarding facility in San Francisco. Pet Camp has worked with 47 nonprofits, schools, business groups and civic groups in the community as an active partner, advisor, donor and supporter. Located adjacent to the City's up-and-coming 3rd Street corridor, Pet Camp is certified as a Green Business and may be the only pet boarding facility in the nation with that designation.

Marvin Pheffer is a financial advisor at Financial Telesis Inc. in San Rafael, CA.

Jane Tobin (Interim President) is the coproducer of Animal Care and Control's annual Pet Pride Day.

Advisory Board

William Hamilton (Founder/President Emeritus) is an independent consultant at the solar energy company GreenVolts, a volunteer dog-walker at ACC from 1999 to 2005, a member of The SF/SPCA Cat Assistance Team since 2004, a Commissioner on the San Francisco Commission of Animal Control and Welfare from 2005 to 2007, and the writer/editor/designer of this Web site. He founded FSFACC in July 2000.

Andrea Reese is the cofounder and codirector of Digital Audio Tours, Inc., which produces the downloadable MP3 walking tour Web site Audiosteps.com. Andrea is also an active volunteer with Persian and Himalayan Cat Rescue and has volunteered at Animal Care and Control since 1990 as a lost and found pet coordinator.

Elizabeth Pinkham is a marketing consultant at the leading customer service relationship management software provider, Salesforce.com.

Past Directors

Teri Goodman is the Director of the Senior Dogs Project.

Edwin Kartman (in memoriam) was a librarian at the San Francisco Public Library, main branch, art and music department, and several other Bay Area library systems. He passed away in November 2003 and is deeply missed.

Carolanna Lance-White, after a career as a legal secretary, is still an active volunteer for FSFACC.

Marilyn Maurer is a marketing expert specializing in customer service software. She has moved to Chicago, where she still volunteers for animal welfare causes. She has three rescued Dachshunds.
